(REVIEW) Secret Key Starting Treatment Essence

Hi there!

Today's review is about Secret Key's Starting Treatment Essence (STE), which is a watery essence that some people even say is a dupe of SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (FTE). As long as i know, Secret Key is a korean brand, and SK-II is a japanese brand, so i don't see any hints of copying. I never use SK-II FTE, so here's my honest opinion about STE ^^

The bottle is made of matte plastic material with silver cap, just like SK-II. It has the word, "Galactomyces Contained" on it. I bet some of you know about this already, but if you don't, you can google it :) basically galactomyces is a type of yeast that produced in the process of sake-making. There's no enough proof of the effects on skin, but there's some medicinal journal about it.

Okay, back to the review :)

The bottle has a quite wide mouth, i found it hard at first to control the amount of product i'll use. But you'll getting used through times.

The texture is watery, and it has a quite strong alcoholic smell, which in my opinion, comes from the fermentation process. Well, luckily i don't have any issues with cosmetics or skincare that have strong smell, so it's okay for me. But if you're a type that will be annoyed with strong-smell-cosmetics, maybe you should think twice before trying this.

Pros:

(+) cheap! I got it for about IDR 150k from local's online shop.

(+) moisturizes my skin well

(+) calming my skin

(+) acne scars gone, and i don't go through any weird purging with this product

(+) minimize blemishes

Cons:

(-) strong alcoholic smell, some people may find it too strong

(-) the bottle could get bulkier through times

(-) the 'mouth' is too wide

Overall:

I use it twice a day, morning and evening, after i wash my face. I slide 5-6 drops on my palm and tap it on my face and neck. I've been using this for about 3 months and quite happy with the result. My acne-prone skin is getting clearer and my avne scars are going away too ^^

(REVIEW) Etude House Juicy Cocktail Gradation Nail in #2 Kiss On Fire

I went to Etude House couple weeks ago for birthday shopping (they have 50% discount for member on birthday month, as you know! ^^) and picked several stuffs. One of them is this cute nail set! The gradation nails is a hype this year, I have made it several times with my own colors combination, but I think since it will be easier with this kit, so why don't we give it a try ;)

Etude House Juicy Cocktails Gradation Nail is a nail set that consists of 3 different nail polishes with one shade to help us make a gradation effect on nails, each of them has labels on the top of the caps so that we'll know easily which one to use first, second, and last.

It has 9 pretty shades that will match perfectly to your clothes or even your mood (I do it sometimes, matching my nails with my mood kekeke~), and I got mine the #2 Kiss on Fire which is a lovely soft pink shade with chunky pink glitters. Perfect for weekends or birthday party!

The packaging also has pictures that tell us how to use this. If you buy this at local store (not online), the packaging also has step-by-step instruction in your local language.

Price at local Etude House stores is IDR 188k, I got it for about 90k because of the 50% disc. At online stores, it's about 70-150k. Worth the price for 3 nail polishes ^^

Overall, I like this nail set! It's cute and it dries fast, so you don't have to wait for a long time to apply next coat. It's hard to clean though, but all glitter polishes are like that, so I think it's ok :)

I think I will repurchase in different shade, the #4 Mint Frappe looks ubercute! :*

(REVIEW) Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry

Udah lama ga update blog, lately I've been busy karna proses BDP BCA yg aku jalanin, and finally it has ended! (you can read my thoughts about that here)

I've tried a loooot of stuffs selama masa hibernasi, so mulai sekarang sepertinya aku akan bikin minimal 1 review setiap minggunya buat produk2 itu :D

This one is the first, because it's my fav lipbalm <3

Here's Maybelline Baby Lips in Smoothing Cherry! I picked this up at a local drugstore for about IDR 17k, and I totally love this! Kayaknya udah banyak review tentang lipbalm ini, dan kebanyakan suka, and so does me.

Packagingnya mirip lipbalm kebanyakan, bentuknya silinder plastik dengan puteran bergerigi dibawahnya dan cap warna senada. Kadang packaging kayak gini bikin ribet krn begitu diputer keluar, suka gak bisa diputer balik ke dalem. But I don't find it in this one. Walopun diputer sampe panjang keluar (maafkeun aku agak iseng :p), tapi tetep bisa diputer balik ke tabungnya. Overall aku biasa aja sama packagingnya, suka engga, ga suka juga engga. Hahah.

Colorless lipbalm ini enggak greasy, dan sangat moisturizing menurut aku. Efek melembabkannya di aku bisa tahan 4-5 jam, dan ini paling lama dibanding lipbalm lainnya. Fyi bibir aku super duper kering, jadi jarang ada lipbalm yg bisa bertahan lama di bibirku hahaha. Aku pernah coba lip butter nya The Body Shop, EOS lipbalm, tender care nya Oriflame, dan bahkan aku pernah coba Vaseline Petroleum Jelly which works well on my flaky lips, tapi kegedean buat dibawa2 :( produk2 itu aku review nanti yaa :D

Wanginya soft, enak dan gak ada bau wax nya, pas dipake juga gak bikin bibir kayak abis makan gorengan xD pokoknya suka!


Pros:
(+) Colorless! Personally aku gak gitu suka tinted lip balm ;)
(+) Nice scent
(+) Not greasy, gak mengkilap lebay dan gak lengket
(+) Melembabkan, up to 4-5 hours on me
(+) Cheap! Murah banget dibanding lipbalm2 aku yg lain yg rata2 70-100rb an keatas

Cons:
(-) Tutupnya suka copot kalo di dalam tas, jadinya agak ga higienis :(


Gak ada cons lain karna aku sukaaa banget lipbalm ini! My holy grail, actually <3

(REVIEW) Maybelline Clear Smooth Shine Free Face Powder vs Clear Smooth Extra Shine Free Powder Foundation

Finally, this is my first beauty review! :)

Di review ini gw mau bandingin 2 produk bedaknya Maybelline, Clear Smooth Shine Free (kemasan hijau) sama Clear Smooth Extra (kemasan biru). Bedak maybelline kemasan ijo ini selalu gw repurchase, terus kemarin pas ke drugstore nyari bedak ini lagi, gak sengaja liat di rak ada yang kemasan biru. Gw nanya sama SA nya, katanya ini bedak juga tapi ada kandungan foundation. Gw tanya bedanya apa sama yang All In One (kemasan kotak warna pink), dia bingung2 gitu. Karna yang pink gw gak suka kemasannya, yasudalah gw ambil yang biru ini aja. Harganya sekitar 35-40ribuan, persisnya gw lupa. Kurang lebih sama sih sama yang ijo, jadi gw pikir kenapa gak coba yang biru ini aja? Hohoho.

Dari kemasan sih sama aja sama yang lama, casingnya dari plastik, ada kaca di dalamnya, sama spongenya. Gw sih gak suka spongenya, bau karet dan ringkih banget. Biasanya gw ganti sponge lain ato pake brush aja.

Baca di kemasannya, ternyata yang biru ini udah SPF 20, sedangkan yang ijo cuma SPF 18. Dan pas dicolek2, ternyata teksturnya lebih cakey, kalo yang ijo lebih powdery gitu. Gw ambil shade yang 02 Nude Beige (kulit gw NW25 an), soalnya pas liat yang 03 Natural (selama ini yang ijo gw pake yang 03 Natural) entah kenapa si Clear Smooth Extra ini shade Natural nya lebih gelap keliatannya dari shade Natural nya Clear Smooth biasa. 

Gak beda jauh kan 02 Nude Beige nya Clear Smooth Extra sama 03 Natural nya Clear Smooth biasa?

Pas gw coba pake sponge bawaannya, agak cakey gitu di muka dan gak ngeblend. Terus gw coba pake dengan cara di tap-tap aja di pact nya terus di tap-tap juga di muka. Ternyata jatohnya lebih bagus dan ngeblend dengan baik di kulit gw :D pake brush juga bagus jatohnya. Hihi.

Kalo yang Clear Smooth biasa, lebih powdery dan pake sponge juga bisa. Tapi pas gw bandingin coveragenya, ternyata lebih bagus si Extra ini (kemasan biru). Cukup tinggi coveragenya. Kalo yang ijo, coveragenya low-medium, kalo cuma pake bedak ini dan gak pake foundie/bb cream yah tetep keliatan bekas2 jerawat dan bintik2nya. Sedangkan yang biru, gak pake foundie/bb cream juga cukup menutupi ketidaksempurnaan di muka gw (maapkeun yah gak ada fotonya ><). Buat tampilan ringan, mending sih gak usah pake foundie/bb cream lagi. Clear Smooth Extra ini juga bagus buat touch-up :))

Dua2nya hasil akhirnya matte, tapi yang Extra menahan minyak di muka gw lebih lama dari yang ijo biasa.

Soal ketahanan, kayaknya dua2nya sama aja, paling bertahan maksimal 5 jam di T-zone gw :( ini kalo gak pake foundie ato primer yah. Kulit gw kombinasi, jadi T-zone minyakan gitu. Gw pake di hari yang lumayan panas dan lumayan keringetan, abis 5 jam an udah minyakan lagi deh T-zone nya. Cuma kalo pake foundie ato bb cream ato primer, dan gak keringetan, bisa tahan lebih lama.

Bagusan mana? Gw sih lebih suka Clear Smooth Extra :)

Nail designs! Yay!

I'm kinda addicted to nail painting during these days, and I even feel kinda like naked when I don't have any nail polishes on my nails. Kekeke.

I did all the designs by myself, on both of my hands *proud* hohoho. I learned how to paint my nails from youtube videos, and this channel Cutepolish is the best! I learn soooo many easy tricks and nail designs from her, and her videos are quite short compared to the other nail designs videos. Long videos make me bored, so, I love Cutepolish's videos! <3

Sukses potong poni sendiri! ;DD

 Poni gw ini emang cepet banget panjangnya, dan karna belakangan ini gak sempet2 ke salon, lagian males juga ke salon buat potong poni doang, akhirnya dibiarin panjang berbulan2 dan jadilah alay seperti ini.. -_-

Lama-lama gw gak betah karna harus lempar poni tiap 3 menit sekali (poni gw teksturnya agak 'jatoh'), dan karna tetep males ke salon, gw memutuskan untuk.. POTONG PONI SENDIRI! :D *lebay*

Dulu2 juga pernah sih motong poni sendiri.. Secara nyokap salon dan punya gunting salon, jadi gw sering potong poni sendiri di depan kaca. Cuma kalo dulu2, motongnya paling 1cm-an.. Kalo udah kepanjangan banget pasti minta nyokap. Tapi karna sekarang nyokap nun jauh di luar pulau, dan gw ngekos sendiri, yah semuanya harus dilakuin sendiri deh.

Setelah beberapa jam nyari pencerahan di youtube, liat2 video cara potong poni sendiri, gw pun memberanikan diri untuk potong poni! Duduk manis bersila di depan kaca, taro lembaran kertas bekas di pangkuan, tangan kanan gunting, kiri sisir, gw pun mulai memotong poni gw..

Jadi poninya gw bagi jadi 3, kiri-tengah-kanan, gw pisah pake jepitan rambut, dan gw mulai dari tengah dulu, terus satu2 jepitannya gw lepas. Jadi kiri-kanannya ngikut yang tengah.

Dan inilah hasilnya! Voila!





















Gak miring dan gak panjang-pendek! Lumayanlah :3 Gak usah ke salon lagi kalo mau gunting poni. Heheheh.
